What was your first song you wrote called?:
"I remember it exactly, it was
called 'Can We Still Be Friends?'.I was so proud of myself! I've written so many songs now.It's crazy."
Who are
your musical influences?:
"Stevie Wonder,Brian Mcknight,Boyz11Men,and also younger people like Usher,the former B2K,
N'Sync.I'm influenced by alot of artists.I like the really soulful singing and at the same time I'm also a really big fan
of the big flashy shows with all the dancing and pyro."
What do you call your style of music?:
"It's funny
becuase I made up a name. I describe my style as r&b hiphoppity pop.I don't usually say one specific thing because I like
to experiment with all those styles and mix them up.I might lean towards one style sometimes but it never ends up one exact
genre."
What do you feel about auditions?:
"Auditions can be nervewrecking if you really let it get to
you. It's all about just steppin' your game up and not lettin' the judges or the competition intimidate you. You just gotta
do what you do the best you can and hopefully that gets through to everybody. My experiences have been pretty good, but sometimes
you'll get the feeling like I know I could have done that better. It's all good though."
Being so young, what
do you want to accomplish in this industry? What are your goals and plans in the years to come?:
"That's a good one.First
I want to make great music and hopefully have people around the world embrace it and me as an artist. I love what I do and
if I can be a successful singer/songwriter and overall entertainer while inspiring others,I would love that. I want to sell
alot of records, travel the world,write for other artists,model,act....Start my own empire.I have big goals and dreams that
I will constantly strive for and I am willing to do whatever it takes to achieve them. I want longevity, and I will if I can
help it."
